Welcome to Adam’s Army
I’m Adam Cruthirds and I would not be here today without St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our team, Adam’s Army, raises awareness and funds for the hospital that saved my life.
In 2014, just before my junior year of high school, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Thirty one months later, after over 1,000 doses of chemo, I completed treatment on February 27, 2017. The treatment cost over $3,000,000, but our family never received a bill. My journey was tough and I lost many friends during treatment. That is why I do what I do.
My team and I have committed to raise $1,000,000 to give back to St. Jude. We are well on our way with over $700,000 in April 2019. To inspire you and challenge myself I’ve committed to run my first full marathon with St. Jude on December 7, 2019. Previously, I’ve done 3 half marathons and a 5k mostly while taking chemo.
On my way to December I’ll run a half in Nashville, do yoga on the banks of the Mississippi River, bike to Arkansas, Zumba dance for the kids, golf with Courage Thru Cancer, Walk/Run with teams throughout the USA… and then cross two finish lines:
One - the Marathon. Two- the Million.
THIS IS OUR TREK TO A MILLION!
Walk. Run. Bike. Yoga. Zumba. Golf. Cheer us on.
If you cannot run with me, I ask you to donate.
If you cannot donate, I ask you to simply share my message.
Any action helps on this mission to save lives.
Donate today to help me reach my goal. Even when the race is over, the fight to end childhood cancer continues.
